Jinna Kim’s session is a panel discussion and Q&A regarding her inspiring
documentary short film titled “Chinese Girl Wants Vote” about lesser-known suffragist Dr. Mabel Ping-Hua Lee. Originally born in response to growing anti-Asian sentiment amidst COVID-19 and in celebration of Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, this film and session offers audiences the opportunity to gain broader perspectives on race and identity through the delightful medium of video. Her 5-minute film is a successful example of inclusive collaboration showcasing diverse faces and voices.
